Accouncing... Keynote from Karine George

This morning we are excited to announce a further keynote from Junior school headteacher Karine George. PELeCON has always been about enhancing learning for all ages, and our keynotes this year have experience from primary education to life long learning.

Karine George, is a very experienced headteacher working in a large junior school in Hampshire, classified as Outstanding by Ofsted in September 2011.  She has held a number of roles for the local authority and the DfE, including Leading Headteacher for Literacy, Headteacher Mentor, Threshold Assessor, Primary Consultant Leader, School Improvement Partner and has represented Headteachers as part of the Hampshire Executive.

As an active research practitioner Karine is an ardent advocator of technology to support 21 century learning. As a result her school has won a number of awards including Leadership and Vision for the development of ICT, Third Millenium Learning and Parental Engagement.  She was selected to work on the Government task force for ‘Home Access and has reported to the Department on both the use of technology and Assessment.’

Karine has contributed to a number of articles on a range of educational issues and  has spoken for a number of organisations on how technology is changing the learning landscape.
